1. Who we are
Klarweg is a German-language education brand offering self-paced online courses (levels A1 through C2, aligned to the Goethe-Zertifikat exam levels) and teacher-led live German classes. Klarweg is operated by an individual — not a registered company, LLP, or other corporate entity. There is no separate publicly listed business address; contact is by email at klarwegofficial@gmail.com. By using Klarweg, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Klarweg provides self-paced German-language learning content: color-coded grammar, stories, vocabulary, listening and speaking exercises, and quizzes, organised into chapters within six CEFR levels (A1–C2). Chapter 1 of every level is free to try without purchase. Klarweg also includes optional supporting features such as Saved Words, spaced-repetition review, and an in-lesson chapter assistant, which may vary in availability as the product evolves.
Klarweg also offers teacher-led live German classes and paid personal consultations, described in section 4A. Live classes are a separate service from the self-paced courses: buying a self-paced level does not include live classes, and a live course does not include access to the self-paced courses.
3. Accounts
You need an account to purchase or track course access. You can create one with an email and password, or by signing in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at klarwegofficial@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
There is currently no self-service option to change your password after signup, reset a forgotten password, or delete your own account from within the product. For any of these, contact klarwegofficial@gmail.com.
4. Purchases and course access
This section covers self-paced courses. Klarweg sells access to individual levels and to a Lifetime bundle covering all levels, as one-time purchases (not a recurring subscription). Payment is processed by Cashfree; see our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled.
- Single-level purchase: grants access to that level's content for 2 years from the date of purchase.
- Lifetime bundle: grants access to all levels for as long as Klarweg operates this service (Lifetime access).
Access is granted automatically once your payment is confirmed. Course access is personal to your account and is not transferable to another person.
4A. Live classes and consultations
Live classes and consultations are taught online by Klarweg's owner. The courses currently offered, with their level, format, schedule and fee, are listed on the Live Classes page.
Enrolment and the waitlist
Enrolment in live courses is not open yet, and Klarweg does not accept live-course fees until it is. Online booking of consultations is not open yet either, and Klarweg does not accept consultation fees until it is. A course without a confirmed start date shows "Waitlist": you can register your interest free of charge. Registering interest is not a booking, does not reserve a place and commits you to nothing; we use it only to tell you when a suitable course opens.
Course terms in writing, before you pay
When enrolment for a course opens, its terms are set out in writing on the Live Classes page before you pay anything: the teacher, level, format, number and length of classes, schedule in Indian Standard Time, start date, platform, materials and fee. The course fee is paid in full, in one payment, before the first class. Those course terms form part of these Terms. A group batch runs with the minimum number of learners stated for the course; if too few enrol, we postpone or cancel the batch and the cancellation terms below apply.
Consultations
A personal consultation costs ₹100 and lasts 20 minutes on Google Meet. You choose a time and pay the fee online on the Live Classes page; your booking is confirmed only once the payment has been verified, and the joining link is then shown to you on that page when you are signed in. Consultations are not booked by email. If you enrol in a live course within 7 days of your consultation, the consultation fee is deducted from the course fee, as set out in the written course terms. If we have to cancel, you choose a full refund or a new time. You can move your consultation once, free of charge, with at least 12 hours’ notice; a consultation missed without notice is not refunded.
Payment
Consultation and live-course fees are paid online on the Klarweg website, in Indian rupees, through our payment processor Cashfree. You enter your card, UPI or other payment details with Cashfree; Klarweg never receives them. A consultation booking or a place in a batch is confirmed only once Klarweg has verified the payment with Cashfree; returning from the payment page does not by itself confirm it. Klarweg does not take live-class or consultation fees by manual UPI, bank transfer or a payment request sent by email, and we never ask for your card details, UPI PIN or banking password. Until online booking and enrolment open, Klarweg takes no live-class or consultation payments at all.
Missed classes
Group classes are not recorded, and a missed group class is not refunded or repeated individually. Your teacher shares the class notes and homework so you can catch up, and you can bring questions to the next class. One-to-one lessons can be moved free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel at least 48 hours before the first class, your course fee is refunded in full. If you cancel during the first two weeks of the course, we refund the classes still to come; after that, course fees are not refunded. If Klarweg cancels or postpones a course and the new dates don’t suit you, we refund everything not yet delivered. The 7-day guarantee in our Refund Policy covers self-paced purchases only, not live classes. How a refund of the classes still to come is calculated is set out in the written course terms before you pay.
Scheduling
Group batches run on a fixed timetable in Indian Standard Time, shown on the course before you enrol. If a class has to move, we tell you at least 24 hours in advance and schedule a replacement class. One-to-one lessons are scheduled directly with your teacher. If your teacher becomes unavailable, we reschedule the affected classes and tell you in advance; if the new dates don't suit you, the cancellation and refund terms above apply.
What the fee includes
The course fee covers every live class in the course, the teacher’s class notes and worksheets, and written feedback on your homework. Goethe exam fees are not included. A live course does not include access to the self-paced courses.
Recordings and conduct
Classes and consultations are not recorded. In a group class, the other learners in your batch can see your name and see and hear you when your camera and microphone are on. Please be respectful to the teacher and the other learners, and do not record, share or redistribute classes or class materials.
Age
No minimum age has been set for live classes or consultations. If a course has an age requirement, it is stated in the written course terms before you pay.
5. Refunds
Self-paced courses: Klarweg offers a 7-day refund: if you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of your purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Full details, including how to request one, are in our Refund Policy.
Live classes and consultations are not covered by the 7-day guarantee; their cancellation and refund terms are in section 4A.
6. Acceptable use
When using Klarweg, please don't:
- Share your account credentials with others or let someone else use your paid access.
- Copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly republish course content (text, audio, exercises, or design) without our permission.
- Attempt to circumvent access controls, interfere with the service's normal operation, or use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
7. Content and ownership
All course content — lesson text, illustrations, audio, exercises, and the Klarweg name and design — belongs to Klarweg or is used under permission. Purchasing a course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own learning; it does not transfer ownership of the content to you. We have not registered specific trademarks or copyrights for Klarweg's content beyond the protections that apply automatically under applicable law.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Klarweg available and working well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access — content, features, and pricing may change over time, and we may add, modify, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We'll try to avoid changes that unfairly reduce access you've already paid for.
9. Disclaimers
Klarweg is provided "as is." While we aim for accurate, useful language-learning content, we don't guarantee any particular learning outcome, exam result, or that the service will be free of errors or interruptions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Klarweg's liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid for the course or bundle giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use Klarweg after a change means you accept the updated terms.
